The German Trade Show 2011 - The largest trade fair of a bilateral chamber in Bangladesh
The German Trade Show 2011 will take place at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Dhaka, Bangladesh from 27th to 29th October, 2011.
The trade show will be inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh, H.E. Md. Faruk Khan on 27th October, 2011 at 10:30 am.

The trade show has been sold out since July - 4 months ahead of time. Nearly 70 companies and organizations from Bangladesh and Germany will present themselves to more than 20.000 visitors.

Side Events - "Climate Change/Political Dialogue"
Besides the exhibition the BGCCI in cooperation with the German Embassy and GIZ will arrange side events comprising of presentations, discussions and workshops. Under the main headline "Climate Change/Political Dialogue", experts from Germany and Bangladesh will lecture and discuss about renewable energy and energy efficiency, global social responsibility of companies, as well as social and ecological aspects of large scale industries such as RMG sector and shrimp farming.
Promoting Bangladesh
The aim of the trade show is not only to strengthen the business/trade relations between Bangladesh and Germany but also to promote and enhance the image of Bangladesh as a favourable country for further investment. Bangladesh is often portrayed as a poor country of natural disasters by the western media and its strengths are often overlooked.
German Trade Show Dinner Auction:
BGCCI will auction the original German soccer jersey, personally signed by the German National Soccer Team, which defeated Argentina 4:0 at the last world cup. The money raised through the auction will go to ICDDRB, in order to support the HIV research and treatment.
